How IPL machine Works

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) equipment produces a beam of highly concentrated, broad-spectrum light, which is applied directly to the surface of the skin. The energy generated by the light is absorbed by targeted cells within the skin. When absorbed, the light's energy converts to heat, impairing the targeted cells and reducing their associated conditions.

IPL therapy can be used to treat unwanted skin pigmentations and vascular lesions, as well as for the removal of unwanted hair.

Vascular Lesions

Removal of spider and thread veins; and some vascular birthmarks.

IPL is targeted at the red pigment in the blood, diminishing it without affecting the skin or other tissues.

Pigmented Lesions

Removal of age spots; freckles; flat pigmented birthmarks; and other skin discolourations, such as melasma/chloasma and erythromelanosis of the neck.

IPL is targeted at the melanin in the skins surface, reducing discolouration.

Increase of skin flexibility and surface tension.

IPL promotes an increased production of collagen within the skin.

Hair Removal

Removal of unwanted hair.

IPL is targeted at the hair follicle, causing the hair to fall out and reducing further growth.
